About Me

Hi, I'm Jay. I’m a UX designer with a degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington. Currently I’m getting my Master’s Degree at Global Innovation Exchange, a program offered by UW and Tsinghua University.

I was born and raised in Shanghai, China, and now currently living in Seattle, WA. I can speak professional English and Mandarin Chinese. You can find me fixing my bike, cooking up edible experiments, or learning German and Cantonese.

I create digital designs with tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, and Axure, and also physical designs with 3D printers, laser cutters, and more. I love making ideas real.

I interned at OTVcloud as a UX designer in Shanghai, China where I worked in an engineering-oriented team as their first UX practitioner. For my capstone, I was the lead designer of our VR data analysis tool for the Mars 2020 rover and presented our project to designers and engineers down at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
